That is what many people want as a get away when the summer hustle and bustle gets to be too much. In the southwest this is especially true. The summer heat gets to be unbearable and the weekends are for heading out of town and up to the cool country. There are many other places in the country that this phenomenon is true as well. It may not be the heat that people want to have a house built from small cottage home plans to which to escape. It may be just getting out of town and away from the city. It may be just to get to another place to escape.
Often people in the city want to have a house built from a country home house plan so it feels like they are escaping to the country even if it is not quite country. Some go as far as to have a log cabin built to make it feel very country. It depends on the area of the county in which you reside.
A house built from a prairie style house plan may look a little out of place in Hawaii but would look great on the plains of Nebraska. An east coast style house would not fit into the desert look in the southwest but does it really matter? Should you be more worried about fitting in or building the house of your dreams. If you are going to live the rest of your life in that house, go for it. Build whatever you want but if you have to worry about resell values, think twice about what you build for your perfect summer home.

adidas Men’s Regent II A-Flex Cap Review
I bought this cap to use as a workout cap. I like to wear a hat most of the time and wanted something a little lighter than a normal cotton hat, but I didn’t want it to feel like I was wearing something completely different. This is just like a normal ballcap. It keeps the sweat off your face and your head cool during running or working out. I will probably buy another on to have when this one wears out. I was very pleased with this find.

In the oldest and most attractive parts of the Stieglbrauerei beer enthusiasts will find the largest hands-on beer museum in Europe. Here you will find out everything you wanted to know about Stiegel Beer and its cultural background.
The Stiegl Brauwelt at Stieglbrauerei zu Salzburg – now, Austria’s largest privately owned brewery – is a further attraction for visitors to Salzburg. The fascinating history of the brewing of this most beloved barley drinks is told in the ‘Erlebnisbrauerei’ living brewery, the World of Beer and the Stiegl Museum covering 500 years of brewing tradition. Up to 10 different types of Stiegl beer can be sampled in the comprehensively renovated fermenting cellar from 1863 and on request selected meals can be served in accompaniment. A place to savor, relax and enjoy Salzburg hospitality at the highest level.
The brewery provides tours in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and you can arrange tours accompanied with beer and cheese tasting, a combined tour around Salzburg Zoo with a show; “Mein lieber Brausud!”, a Guided tour around Stiegl-Brauwelto, Beer tasting and a Gift from the Braushop. They also offer tours such as “A traditional get-together” which is a 3 hour experience of a tour around Stiegl-Brauwelt, Beer tasting, a meal, show, live entertainment and gift from the shop.
Since 1st October 2007, fresh beer has been tapped in the “Stiegel-Brauwelt” and fresh regional food is now served there for visitors in the fantastic on site restaurant, “Braustube tavern”. Here they serve local Austrian delicacies, as well as national specialties such as crispy roast chicken, spare ribs, horseradish and fresh baked bread. The beer exhibition is open in summer between July and August from Mon-Sun 10.00 – 19.00. Adults pay EUR9 for entry and child tickets cost EUR4, with free admission for under sixes.
In May 2007 the owner and manager of the brewery, Dr. Heinrich Dieter Kiener officially opened the “Braugarten” in the old brewery courtyard of Stiegl-Brauwelt.
The Braugarten beer garden is located in the oldest part of the Stiegl brewery premises and offers a unique atmosphere under the shade of chestnut trees. It features a beer font and a view of the old brewery mash house; ideal surroundings for sampling the many types of freshly pulled Stiegl beer. With lots of Salzburg accommodation available, Stiegl-Brauwelt is a must see on your Austrian holiday.
In addition to this brewery, why not visit the home of “Weissbier”, one of Austria’s best types of beer. If you walk to the end of the pedestrian zone on the right bank of the Salzach, you will find the White Beer Brewery (”Weissbierbrauerei”). Nearby there is an abundance of Salzburg hotels and Salzburg apartments, so you can easily go and learn a little bit of “Weissbier” history! After spending four days in a fermenting vat, the “Hefeweissbier” is filled into bottles, where the yeast lets it age for two weeks. Brewed according to an old Bavarian recipe, the “white” beer tastes best on a warm summer evening soaking up the buzzing atmosphere in the brewery garden.

Summer is the time for fun, outdoor activities, swimming, picnics and vacations. And, understandably, people love to share many of their summer activities with their animal companions. Unfortunately, every summer many beloved pets die unnecessarily during extremely hot weather.
HEAT exhaustion is one of the most common ailments of pets during the summer months, so pet owners should be cautious. If it’s an exceptionally hot day, keep your dog or cat in the house with you and a fan and/or air conditioning. If it’s too hot outside for you, it’s too hot outside for your pet. Signs of heatstroke may include: hot skin, rapid panting, twitching muscles, salivation, a dazed expression. Wrap your pet in a towel with cool, not COLD water. Cool him down by giving him ice cubes to lick (as cold water will upset his stomach worse and hasten dehydration). Let him lie in front of a fan. To prevent heat exhaustion, make sure your outside pets have access to shade, fresh water and that you monitor them at least several times a day to make sure they’re all right.!
NEVER leave your pet in a parked car – not even if you crack the windows or park in the shade. The temperature in the car can increase rapidly and cause heat exhaustion, heat stroke or even death. On an 85 degree day, the temperature inside your car, even with the windows open a bit, will climb to 102 degrees in 10 minutes. After 30 minutes, it will go up to 120 degrees or even higher!
GIVE your animal companion plenty of cool, clean water at all times. Dogs can only sweat through the pads of their feet and by panting. Evaporation from the wet surfaces of their mouth and nose helps lower their body temperature.
DO not leave your pet shut in an empty house or tied outside while you’re on vacation.
NEVER force your dog to run in hot, humid weather. Watch for hot pavement. Sensitive paws burn easily. After a walk or run, check your dog’s paws to make sure they are okay.
KEEP vaccinations up-to-date. This is a time when most pets come into contact with other animals at parks, beaches, lakes and campgrounds.
DON’T let your pets roam the streets. Veterinarians see numerous fight injuries and bite wounds in the summer as well as animals hit or run over by cars.
USE Heartworm preventative as mosquitoes which increase dramatically in the summer, carry Heartworm – one of the most deadly ailments household pets suffer. Mosquitoes carry a parasite that causes pulmonary vascular disease that can lead to heart failure. Preventative medication is the best way to avoid this deadly disease.
WASPS, bees and hornets are also a problem during the summer. Although there is no real way for your pets to avoid being stung, they can be treated with antihistamines to reduce the swelling that follows an attack If swelling doesn’t subside, see your vet!
WATCH the exercise and diet of your pets. Overeating can result in overheating. Eating less is healthier for them. Do not encourage exercise during the hottest part of the day. Early mornings and evenings are the best times for exercising.
FLEAS, ticks and other parasites may infest your pet. There are many good products available to keep fleas and ticks off your pet. Check with your vet!
WHEN planning a vacation, don’t forget your animal companions. Plan for them too. If you are planning on taking them with you, make certain that they will travel comfortably (with plenty of potty and exercise stops) and that they are welcome guests at hotels, homes of friends, etc, and your destination. If you are leaving them behind, make certain you have a well-credentialed pet-sitter or boarding facility. Referrals from trusted veterinarians and animal-loving friends are always helpful. Check them out well in advance of your proposed trip and make reservations, leaving them with a list of medications and instructions as to feeding, exercise, etc. Leave the name of your vet along with friends and neighbors who know your pet. Leave your whereabouts and how to reach you.
ON holidays such as the 4th of July when your pet is exposed to loud noises such as fireworks, make sure he has a safe, quiet place/sanctuary inside your home, that he is in a room from which he cannot escape or run away and that you have either the television or radio on for him to distract or deflect the scary outside sounds. Keep your pet away from crowds of people and loud noises. This will keep him calm and safe!

Slowly, but surely, we are edging out of winter and into spring. This means it is time to start thinking about travel plans for the summer. While taking a vacation is a blessed event, keep in mind that the dollar doesn’t have the same value it did.
For many people, global finance is one of those interesting things you hear or read about, but it really doesn’t affect us. Well, this has certain started to change as of last year and moving forward. The real estate market problems are something we all feel inherently. Unfortunately, those of us who like to travel are going to be shocked by the impact of the dropping dollar.
The value of the dollar can be summed up in the phrase “free fall.” It is reaching lows not seen previously since the Great Depression. The practical effect of this in every day life is the cost of imported goods or goods reliant on imports are going up. Way up. Oil is in imported good and you already know about gas prices. Well, food has to be moved around as well, and that takes expensive gas. The result is higher food prices.
For many Americans, fuel prices are going to be a real eye opener this summer. Prices in the mid to high three dollars are forecast. Some believe we might top four dollars a gallon. Those are scary numbers. It could cost $100 to fill up your average SUV. In short, taking road trips this summer is a good idea, but trips will probably be shorter given the cost of cruising down the road. The RV industry must be nervous.
